cystic acne during pregnancy?

So, Ive always had oretty bad skin...amplified by anxiety that causes picking and popping. Howrver, since becoming pregnant my skin has gotten a thousand times worse. Countless deep huge pimples have developed deep below my skin, causing severe selling and pain. I am using benzoyl peroxide wash and a toner but it has not helped at all. Any suggestions?

I use rubbing alcohol to dry it out and then a topical to bring it to the surface. You can go to your doctor and get a shot (in the spot of the acne) or a stronger topical cream. I started getting cystic acne recently too. It's so embarrassing and makes me want to hide until they decide to leave. I've had the same two for about 2 weeks and from having acne my whole life I can't help but dig at it. They're finally healing. Good luck!

Im using a benzoyl peroxide face wash (which usually works miracles after a few weeks) and a proactive toner. Finally starting to see a small decrease in amount of bumps, but the GIANT under the skin ones are still coming and going. Im trying to wear no make upo whrn i dont have too. ill definjtely try the alcohol!
