Death
Why do people who believe in heaven find the idea of nothingness after death so offensive?
My dad died on Wednesday and I don't believe in heaven. As an agnostic/atheist, I think heaven is very unlikely but if it's real, cool. I think when we die, it's just nothingness. The void before birth is the same as the void after death. The idea of nothingness comforts me. Before birth, there was nothingness and that wasn't scary. Why should nothingness after death be scary?
What's so offensive about it?
Just want to add, Its true what they say. When someone you love dies, nothing bad about their life or your memories matter. All the shit my dad said to each other means nothing to me. It's so insignificant. Don't let the little things stop you from loving people. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
