I'm no stranger to spanking but I try all I can to avoid it, especially if there is something else that gets the message through a little more clear.

My 3 almost 4 year old has been (not a tyrant) but doesnt do what she's told when she's told unless a punishment is threatened. I just want one good punishment that will scare her straight and just help her to listen better.

We do stand in the corner, time out but that just gets her out of the task she's suppose to do for 4 minutes longer. Does anyone else have affective punishments, or ways of getting their toddlers to listen?

(No bribing obviously.)
