Low iron relating to hormone imbalance?

Question

Has anyone had/have an iron deficiency thats lead to hormonal imbalance? Have you had medical advice on this?
I am low in iron, and have a low sex drive, I'm looking to  see if it's related

Being low on iron results in anemia which means you don't get maximal transport of oxygen to various tissues in the body. It affects a lot of different things since every single cell in the body requires oxygen. Generally low iron results in lethargy/fatigue and that's the main symptom. But you could in theory have other issues with hormone production because your endocrine organs don't have energy to make the hormones. It's not really that likely unless you're severely anemic though. Your body is very good at compensating. It'd be more likely that because you're so tired you lack a sex drive. 
If you've been diagnosed with anemia then you'd have seen a doctor. You need to ask them about what's going on. Any doctor would've gotten you on iron pills to help with your anemia or another method of treatment if the issue is iron absorption in the gut. You really need to talk to your doctor about any symptoms you're having and they'll help you find a treatment plan that works for you.
