Ladies helpppp, show me your cribs please I really feel my mattress is too high for a newborn.

Ok girls, I'm 33+3days we've had our baby's crib up for many weeks just not fully dressed as I was waiting for time to get closer well everyday I debate myself and drive my fiancé crazy whyyyyy is this mattress sooo high. My fiancé says this is normal for a newborn but today I've had it it's killing me and I don't want to dress it then have him take the crib apart to lower it soooo help me girls show me your crib for a newborn please.
