When is too young to have a baby?

19 years old here and insanely baby crazy. I cannot stop thinking about one of my own and regularly let out a few years that I don't have one. My boyfriend is going to propose within the next year and we would be ready for a baby. How young is too young? I've been told I'm mature for my age, but I also know how much work babies are. Thoughts ladies??

Do you have your own place? Will there be room for baby? Do you have a job making decent money? A car? Are you in college? Do you have a plan for your future career? Does your boyfriend want a baby? When? Are you ready for being up all night, and yoyr body to chsnge, and your entire life to become different? Are you ready to give up time with friends and family when you cant find a sitter? Age and maturity dont have too much to do with it. but if you cant correctly answer these questions it isnt time for a baby

I was mature for my age at 19 too, I had a job a place but was I ready to support a child? No. Having baby fever and wanting to bring a child into the world are 2 VERY different things.

I fell pregnant at 19 and had my baby after I turned 20. Engaged, own our own home, solid careers, we are quiet comfortable. Babies are super expensive so you need to make sure you are prepared for how much they need. I love being a mum and don't look at myself as a 'young mum'. There are other mothers in our baby group who are way older and have half as much 'stability' in their lives as I do. Age doesn't have a lot to do with it. Definitely maturity and your lifestyle situation. You got to give your absolute ALL to your new baby so being selfless is right up there on top, to be ready to sacrifice anything & everything to make sure they are happy, healthy and thriving.

I got pregnant at 21 in college at the beginning of my Senior year. Everyone told me I wouldn't finish or graduate. My college is on a quarter system and Winter Quarter started a few days before my due date. I was scheduled for an induction if I didn't naturally go into labor. Luckily I went into labor naturally, missed my first 2 days of class had the weekend to recover then went to class on Monday. I never took any time off, I was able to take care of my newborn baby, and do my school work while she slept. I barely slept... I would stay up till 6am studying doing projects etc and taking care of my daughter. It was tiring and exhausting, but I'm glad I finished. Being a mother is the most empowering thing I think a woman can experience. I would just really figure out if you want to go to school, have a career, etc. Or if you want to be a stay at home mom their is nothing wrong with that either. Your life completely changes once bringing in a new life into the world it's not about you anymore it's all about your sweet baby 💗 But I also feel if your about to be newlyweds to REALLY enjoy each other's company before adding a sweet baby. My husband was so helpful the first several months but now that my daughter is a little older sometimes it feels like I'm always doing what she needs, which is completely fine, but to have a minute to myself here or there would be nice.

It's not about age at all...it's about readiness. If you're in an economic situation that allows for kids and you are ready for your lives to revolve around your baby instead of yourselves, you're ready. There's no going back though. My mom was 16 and was a fantastic mother. She didn't get to go to college or do anything for herself, though, and it's nice to be able to have those options while you're not responsible for another person's life. Pregnancy is generally easier the younger you are!

I have learned that my babies have came when I needed them the most. I was heading down a really dark path and I fell pregnant with my daughter at 16 had her at 17. I was by no means stable but I made it and she has a happy life. I tried with her day for 2 1/2 years and right before he was about to go on a 6 month long trip we found out we were expecting number 2. To all of the moms telling you when and when not to have a baby they know just as much as I do you will never truly know how things will go tell it happens.

I'm 19 you are ready when you are stable. I got married young lol but we bought our first place last year and we both own our own cars. Plus we both have stable jobs. Be able to well support yourself first then think about babies. -

Im turned 20 in march and had my son the December before. I love being a mommy I think that as long as your in a comited relationship and are happy then go for it if you both feel ready! ☺
