Do al SSRI's take 6 weeks?

I have ppd and was given 50 mg Zoloft problem is what do I do in the meantime while it kicks in? Are there others that work faster?

Personally when i was put on zoloft i took my first one and felt like night and day. everyone is different.

SSRI'S take a maximum of 6 weeks to work. From my past experience, i felt a gradual improvement over the entire 6 weeks. the first week is the hardest. I've had the best control with an SSRI and a Benzodiazipen for breakthrough anxiety. if your med makes NO difference after 2-3 weeks I'd talk to dr about switching.

Yes usually but if your having worse depression or really had bad side affects I'd talk to your doctor. If you were taking something in a different category you would be able to tell a little bit earlier. Just take it easy until then but tell people around you to look for whether or not you are acting different, whether or not it's good or bad. Usually you can't tell yourself at as early as the people around you.
