Please help me

Okay so in my 6th period there's a hot guy and we always make awkward eye contact and I have caught him checking me out once in class and my friend always tells me that when I'm doing my work he stares at me but i do t know if she's being serious or just saying that, I have never talked to this guy ever and I'm a freshman (supposed to be sophomore) and he's a junior. I know it's kinda stupid but like I don't know if he's looking at me and checking me out because he's interested or he's just looking.😩😩Please help me
