How long do you bleed after a section?

I'm 2 weeks in after an emergency c-section. This was my third baby, but first c-section. I'm breastfeeding (as with my others), but I feel like I'm bleeding more and longer with this one.

After my first two bottle fed babies it was about 4 weeks. After my breastfed baby it was only about 2 weeks, including a few days of light spotting.

I'm wondering this too, as mine had slowed until today, when it became much redder again and included a cotton-ball-sized clot 😕😕

I was done when I left the hospital after my first, so less than a week. After my second it was about two weeks but it was only a year after my first one so recovery was a little slower. After my twins it took three weeks but my uterus was huuuuuuge with them. It has a lot to do with how well your OB cleans you out during the section.

Pretty sure you bleed more after a c-section. I'll be having a fourth one. They suck😕

It can be up to 6 weeks.  For me bleeding stopped between 4 and 5 weeks.
