My 3 week old baby keeps spitting up some breastmilk after I fed him? Is this normal?

Have noticed it recently. Today he has done it a few times.. should I be worried? He gets hungry and then spits some out after I take him off the boob and lay him down in his bassinet and then he cries and is hungry again

he might have reflux. try taking a break in the middle of nursing to hold him upright on your. heat and burp him for a bit and then continue nursing. and when he's down eating, burp him and have him upright for about 15 minutes. this has helped my son. also, mention it to the Dr and they might prescribe baby Zantac for it to help him 🙂

Most likely reflux. Try to feed in the upright position, burp often , and hold baby up at least 30 mins after a feeding. This won't prevent it 100% of the time but helps. Otherwise they spit it alllll up and you are back to feeding again.

My little guy started doing this last week! I'll breastfeed and then he spits up. He'll be 4 weeks tomorrow.

My baby spits up A LOT after every feeding- right away and then sometimes more will come up in an hour. Her pediatrician said it's normal for babies to spit up because their stomachs aren't fully developed. She also said that most babies have reflux because of this. 🤷‍♀️ I still think it's strange that it happens so often, I wish that she would do something about it. Best thing I've found is to keep her upright after feedings (pediatrician said to keep her upright for at least a half an hour) and burp her often while feeding.

My 2 week old also does this mainly first thing in the morning where she guzzles. I've had to break her morning feed into 2 first thing in the morning. Your bby could have reflux so if it's a common occurrence then might be worth telling your doctor.  Hope works out soon bub x
