Did anyone with gestational diabetes have a normal birth? or could you just share your birth experience?

I'm a ftm. I am constantly tracking my diet, physical activity and Blood sugar levels but I'm scared. So just looking for some answers here, as to what I can expect in the worst or best case. I am currently 30 weeks and found out at 28w 3d that I have GD.

hi there, i was diagnosed with GD during my pregnancy, i kept it under control with diet and physical activity. my pregnancy progressed absolutly normal,  my daughter was born at 39 weeks absolutly healthy. labour started normally, I did have to have an emergency C-section, but that had nothing to do with the GD, she didn't turn properly and her head was stuck in my pelvis. I know how you feel, i was terrified at first too, but it is something you can partly control. my blood sugar levels responded very well to physical activity, so i made sure i went for a walk every day. i know it's hard, but you can do it!

Hello. I just gave birth to my son 3 days ago...vaginal birth! I am also ftm here. I had gd when i was pregnant, I controlled my diet, i was be able to manage my blood sugars during pregnancy. He is healthy and perfect, his blood sugar is good. So actually my due date was 9/12, since i had gd, they scheduled to induce me for 9/5. But my son decided to came out early on 8/31 at 10.34 am, he weighed 7lb 12oz and 14.5" long.

I have GD and it's controlled by diet and exercise and docs think I will have a normal birth but we will just have to wait and see I am 37 weeks
