Reassurance

Do you guys sometimes ask someone you really care about if they're going to leave just for reassurance? It's been one of those nights for me and I just got off of the phone with one of my best friends and he kept unintentionally comparing me to his girl friend and it kinda hurt. I'm not jealous or anything I'm happy for him, but I just don't want to be replaced or forgotten about.
