San Bernardino Privacy Breach
**To start off, if any of my information is wrong PLEASE correct me so I can make the change ASAP!
Now, I’m sure many of you from the US (and maybe other parts of the world) know about/heard of the San Bernardino shooting back in 2015. 16 people were killed including both terrorists.
The FBI was able to recover an iPhone from one of the shooters, but due to a passcode lock they were unable to get in.
They took it to Apple, but they refused to bypass the phone’s security to unlock it due to it being considered a breach of privacy.
My question is: Privacy is something frequently mentioned in CC, along with how important it is. BUT, should privacy be considered in cases like these where the information could be vital to criminal investigations? Where do we draw the line?
Also, do you personally believe Apple should’ve unlocked the iPhone?
