Adding cereal to baby milk?

What is your opinion on adding cereal to baby milk? Cutting the nipple a bigger hole to suck?

Sometimes you have to mix in a little cereal if milk alone is just not enough for a baby to get full. I remember my sister's doctor recommending this to my mom, but everyones doctor will recommend something different. So consult your doctor first.

My daughter was a month old and we started adding rice cereal to her milk. It helped keep her fuller and helped with her acid reflux really well. She's five now so it clearly didn't do her any harm.

I had to start giving my son cereal in  his milk when he was 6 mos old.

I give my twins Cerelac in their milk and I don't need to cut the teat. They are nine months now and it stopped them from having not being satisfied after a feed. I tried formula for hungry babies as it is thicker but they hated it. My 16 year old and 12 year old also had cereal powder in their bottles after 6 months. In any event seek advice from a paediatrician.

We did. Just a small amount. My daughter wouldn't swallow food when we gave it to her on a spoon it would just sit in her mouth and she wouldn't swallow it. After a couple bottles she got a taste and understood she should swallow it. She was a weird baby lol

We tried it, it didn't help at all. We just do a bowl of oatmeal and then milk separate.
