How much emotion does your man show towards you

My man isn't really emotional and he rarely shows emotion towards me, his best friend says it's just how men are but I'm terrified that he dose not love me as he never shows it... He says he loves me but it's hard to believe when he don't show emotion... I want to know how you lady's feel and if your man's the same... I want to know is it normal for a man not to be emotional?
