Depends. If he didn't want kids? What if he was addicted to drugs and would be a shit father who says they want the kid and then are never around?

He should ask his girl on the first date "how would we handle a crisis pregnancy?" if he thinks he needs to have a say in how she manages her body, her life. All birth control types fail, so if he thinks he is part of the decision in a crisis pregnancy then he should be selective of whom he sleeps with!! 
It is certainly, perfectly okay to manage her body without his input. It's her body, her life! Live and let live!
