Painless IUD?

Question

I got the Mirena IUD inserted a few days ago. During the procedure I literally did not feel a thing considering they did numb my cervix with a spray. Even after I had the slightest cramps but not even as bad as a normal period for me. Is this normal? I feel like I've only heard stories of people having pretty bad cramps after. Could something be wrong or am I just one of the lucky ones?

When I got my IUD inserted last month it didn't even hurt as much as people say it does . I had the slightest cramps during & after the procedure, everyone is different.  Nothing to be concerned about 👍🏼

Neither.....but I was knocked out cold got mine inserted when I had surgery 😂

the insertion was a slight pinch for me but she had to clamp my cervix cause it was moving that was the worst for me and even then a few deep breaths and done. i cramped a bit for 2 days but very slight. spotting has been 2 weeks now. so far I am impressed. it depends on the person the dr and the insertion. everyone reacts differently and we all have different bodies and issues and reasons for getting the iud

I got my mirena 6weeks pp, i wasn't numbed and it didn't hurt. No complaints here about it, I had it 3.5 years and just got it removed. Did your md use a ultrasound machine and measure your uterus prior to insertion?
