still get super pissy with guests? just had my best friend up from 4 hours south and while I loved her company, she also bothered me to no end when it came to Olivia 😑 I love my family and friends but no one understands what it takes to take proper care of my child! Olivia puts herself to sleep, naps and nighttime. so I put her ocean noise on, give her a kiss, lay her down and tell her I love her and walk out. she's asleep within 15 minutes 98% of the time. today before my friend left, Olivia was going to sleep. she was in the zoned out phase of playing lazily with her fingers. friend grabbed the monitor from my hand, told me "she's not sleeping! I'm going in to say goodbye" and this was AFTER I already told her to please not. it will wake her up (I know she's not asleep, but it'll excite her is what I meant) so she goes in her room anyway and it would've been one thing if she had said goodbye and leaned over for a kiss.. but she picked. her. up! 😠 and talked to her a LOT. and I get it, you wanna say goodbye.. but she's a baby, she's still little. she needs her naps! it's more important than your desire to get one more snuggle and smile, sorry. and then she left and I had to rub Olivia's back to get her to sleep. she had been up 3.5 hours. this was following the day before when we were out and about most of the day so when we were at home, Olivia only took 2 looooong naps. and she made the comment "she sleeps a lot!" well, when you go out to eat, go grocery shopping, AND go to walmart.. yeah that's exhausting for a baby! there's a lot to process after that! anyway, she ended up going down for the night tonight at FOUR THIRTY!!! she hadn't even been up long enough to have more than 20oz 😟 she finally woke up again quarter to midnight and had a DRY diaper 😬 so tomorrow we're pushing the fluids. it's just so irritating! I don't want to be a bitch and have to physically block her from saying goodbye but she isn't the one dealing with the aftermath and worrying about her hydration!
