Uncoiled umbilical cord
My baby boy is growing healthy and strong. After my anatomy scan, my general OB said that there was a section of his cord where the veins aren't coiled but they're straight. She also said this is super rare and she's never seen it in any of her patients before. I'm not finding any information online other then it usually leads to death in fetuses where the veins are completely straight through out. But it's just a section of his. Nothing to worry about now, but may cause complications during a full term delivery, according to doc.
Still waiting to go to high risk doctor for a second opinion. Just wanted to see if any other moms have experienced something similar and what to expect.
