My crazy BFP story with broken ankle.
So I'm 35 and husband and I have been trying to concieve for about 6 months. I found out I have long cycles and they thought I might have PCOS but did all the tests and they came back normal. This was my first round of clomid. I was being really good on waiting to test until Wednesday. Well the Sunday before I fell and broke my ankle in 3 places. They asked me at the ER what meds I was on and told them about the clomid since I had continued to have symptoms. They tested and came back and said, "you are pregnant. I just started laughing hard. My parents were on their way to hospital and we knew it was going to be a major decision in determing treatment. So we decided to tell them. They did surgery Tuesday to operate on my ankle and put pins and screws in. The anesthiologist was awesome and put in a regional block which is a catheter in my leg that slowly releases medicine and therefore stays local- not mear belly. They also did something solar to epidural but only one time use of medicine that temporarily blocks all nerves from waist down. They did give me a pain med by IV and Percocet. It was still so early they were not to worried but wanted to limit amount of Narcotics I'm taking. I also had an extra heart beat that was fixed about 2 years ago. It came back a little when I was in so much pain and stress. After surgery I had some low belly/ vagina cramping and was terrified of miscarriage. It was just my body continuing to wake up from the spinal block. I also lost all continence that night and could not control my bladder. One of the worst nights of my life. So still no bleeding I want to take another test just ease my mind. Have first dr appt in 2 weeks. Not how I thought this would go but I'm trying to just take one day at a time.
