Moms with 2 kids under 2 how did you make your babies nursery?

A lot of cribs these days are 3-in-1 .... they convert from crib to toddler bed (one side half open) and then "big kid" bed (with a headboard and footboard).  
Mine does that, so I'll leave my older baby in his existing bed and just set it to toddler style when he's ready.  (I.e., inclined to go to sleep and stay in bed all night- which may be a while).
I will have to buy a duplicate 3-in-1 for my new baby. 
But it's actually pretty nice this way bc I can keep my son in a crib as long as I like, regardless of when the baby is born.

Were going to buy a second convertible. Don't want to rush my 16 month old out.

we had a 3 year old when our twins we're born.  but we had just turned his crib into a toddler bed, around 6 months prior. 
if the twins were earlier,  we would have just bought one more crib.  
but at first they slept in a pack n play, so we didn't even buy a crib until they were rolling over and such.  
does your current crib convert to a toddler bed?

We bought a second crib only because big girls cribs convert to full size beds so the idea is for them to have it till they move out. Save money in the long run.

I'm buying a second crib. I don't want to rush something for my son that he isn't ready for. Also, I'm. It ready for him to be in a toddler bed yet... with a newborn in the way, keeeoinf him contained is going to be helpful. I don't need to deal with him getting in and out of bed AND a newly? No thanks! Also, I'm in the mood to design a totally new room and my son's crib doesn't go haha!

We just switched my daughter two nights ago to her big girl bed (she is 22 months) so the baby could get the crib and she did awesome! I figured we were going to have to do it soon anyways and with a guard rail and lower bed we haven't had any issues!
