Birth control and pregnancy

I've been on birth control for over a year, I take it every morning when I wake up and very very rarely forget to take a pill. I've recently become sexually active and am terrified of pregnancy. I feel so much anxiety over it even though I'm on the pill and my boy always pulls out. Because of this, I feel like we should be pretty safe contraceptive wise but this month i didn't have spotting leading up to my placebo week like i typically do, which has me feeling even more anxious. Because im on birth control and I typically skip my placebo week in order to only have a period 3x a year, my periods tend to be sporadic and sometimes I get them during my regular pill pack rather than during the sugar pills week. Like I said, I'm new to this and to using my bc as actual contraception. I'm scared but I'm not sure I have reason to be? Any help would be so appreciated
