PCOS and TTC- probably dumb questions

So, DH and I are just starting TTC. I have PCOS and have very irregular periods- will go 2-3 months without and then sometimes have two in one month. My last period started Aug 8-9 and we BD several times Aug 17-23. If I had a regular period, it would be expected between the 8th and 10th of September.

We returned from vacation and I started using this app a few days ago. Having vaginal pain, like throbbing almost, and some nausea. What's the likelihood with my weird cycle that I was actually ovulating at the correct time for an average cycle? Almost able to take a test but not quite long enough yet for it to show up :(

I have a pack of preg tests and OTS on their way from Amazon, should arrive tomorrow. I just feel myself getting excited already but I know it's unlikely. Trying not to get my hopes up!
