Bumper or no bumper?

We are trying to have our first baby and we are currently setting up our nursery. I want to know everyone's opinions on crib bumpers?

I think this is a better question for the parenting room. And I also think it's a personal/decorative decision. Some people use them, some people think they're a suffocation hazard. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No bumper,   And dont  bother getting the sheet sets,  NO ONE uses that huge decoration blanket  or whatever  it is that it shows hanging  over the crib  on the package.

As foster parents we are not allowed to put a bumper on our crib. Not even a mesh/breathable one. Our state considers them a hazard.

crib bumpers actually increase the risk of sids (sudden infant death syndrome) although they look really pretty you are safer not having it in the crib or if you want it in the crib taking it out when you put baby in the crib

I honestly don't see the point in them and never bothered.

We put on a crib bumper for our daughter.
She is now 11 months old and has slept in our bed since day 1 😐
Really it was just a waste of money
