How long did you wait to have sex after a c section? Or just in general?

I had a csection and I waited until 8 weeks. I was cleared at 6 weeks.

2 weeks day after my 2 week incision check. I couldn't wait. I was terrified the entire time that I was hurting my body. But everything looks fine. I got the depo which really messed with my epilepsy meds giving me seizures. I now have the IUD MIRENA I hate them but it's my only option. I don't regret any of it.

I think we first had sex after my section at 4 weeks pp. I was advised to do it when I feel ready. My husband was gentle and made sure not to put all his body weight on my abdomen.
