Baby Shower?

So my daughter is 1 yr. old and I am currently due in Feb. with my Son (Super Excited)!!! I would like a baby shower to celebrate my son since I'm done having kids but my mom doesn't think I should have one. I have everything for our son except clothes but again I still want to celebrate his arrival somehow. Thoughts?

Typically you don't have a second baby shower, especially when your kids are so close together. The point of a shower is to "shower" the new mother, bride to be, etc with gifts. I would suggest maybe a small get together with family after he's born and send out announcements.

I'd say throw a party to celebrate him, have cake and games etc. but say no gifts! It's the gifts thing that people get weird about doing more than once.

you can have a big dinner without having a shower. showers are for giving gifts. you can have a dinner or luncheon to celebrate without the gifts.
