Is it safe to have sex after you lose your mucous plug?

Crystal • Im 28. My fiancé and I had an unfortunate EP on 2/9/14. I have a beautiful 7 year old baby girl Mia, a 2.5 year old boy Maison and a 1.5 year old boy Manning. We are also expecting another girl on 9/5/17!!!!

Need opinions for a friend she's 38 weeks pregnant and her husband won't have sex bc he thinks bacteria will get to the baby if he goes inside her
