Hey ladies! So I had an issue that my doctor sent me to the hospital for on Sunday. Totally okay nothing to do with the baby but the nurse asked me my medical history. I told her I had a lumbar spinal fusion in 2013 and I have two screws and a plate in between L4-L5. She then asked if I planned to get an epidural which I thought yes, she said in her experience that women with fusions and hardware either the epidural doesn't take or only works for one side of the body. (I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and this is my first) I haven't seen my OB yet. Tomorrow is my checkup but I can't stop thinking about what the nurse said. Any other mamas out there have advice or can relate to the situation?
