4 month old cat napping

Andi

My 4 month old daughter will NOT sleep more than 40 minutes for naps. Not being held, not in the car, and not in her rock n play (what she has always slept in). She needs to be nursed to sleep (which I've decided I'm just gonna have to be okay with) and then I lay her in her rock n play. Only in the last few days has she actually slept in the RNP and not needed to be held. She used to sleep 1.5 hours if somebody was holding her or on long car rides (we travel with my husband for his job). But now the only way she might sleep past 40 minutes is if I'm nursing her through her entire nap. She takes 4-5 naps a day and is already tired and rubbing her eyes within a half hour of being awake. She usually goes down for a nap 1-1.5 hours after being awake. I'm going crazy. Not to mention she's still nursing at least every 2 hours during the day, if not more often than that. Anybody in a similar situation? I don't know how to lengthen her naps. I know she needs it because she crabby and hard to get down for the next nap. She's EBF and sleeps 8-10 hours straight at night, then nurses and goes down for another 2-3 hours. She's cute though!
