How do you and your partner connect at the end of the day?

It's horrible but I feel like we are both always on our phone. We rarely eat dinner together because he is self employed and his ours are ever the same. He's a contractor so things come up and deadlines have to be met

We work opposite shifts and have 3 kids. I work 6-2:30. He works 3-11 and gets home at midnight. I'm often asleep. We do cuddle every night. If I'm wearing sexy panties then he knows he has the green light to wake me. At least once or twice a week I wait up when I can so we can cuddle, watch tv, or have more sex. We do talk a lot though during the day. We have lunch together on the days I work from home. We touch as often as possible during the day, even if it's an ass grab in the kitchen. We touch and kiss and laugh every chance we can. We've been together 10 years. We are still honeymooning. It just takes intimacy and effort

We have 4 kids so it's pretty hectic right up till bed time. We normally have sex and fall asleep...then repeat 😂 The joys! If we didn't have the kids it would be different, we always try to make time for one another. You should talk to him about it, sometimes men forget we need attention lol

lately now that i started online school he's been making dinner and cleaning up so when i get home from work i can work on homework but we always watch a show eating dinner together and cuddle at night before falling asleep. 
i also work 2 jobs and ones late night on the weekends but i try and take a weekend off every couple months for us to hang out and do a mini vacation (we just went this past weekend to mt washington) but usually if it's longer we kind of get on each other's nerves when we're together for too long😂

Try to make it a goal to eat dinner together or pick a show that you both like and watch it together. Or even at the end of the day, when you are laying in bed, just ask each other how both of your days went! Just small things like making time for each other is all you need!

When we get in bed at night we both make an intention and put down our phones and iPads and talk. Some nights this turns into hour long conversations and sex and other nights it's 10 mins and lights out. We always do it though and that's what's important!

If you are both always on the phone you could text each other during the day. Just quick, hey thinking of you type things, kinda like if you were dating again. Or have a code word for a "together" time to chat when it's convenient where you both put the phones on the charger in another room for at least a half hour, I know I am more comfortable having my phone away from me if it's charging, so this might be a way to make it easier and isn't dependent on a schedule, just commit to it a certain number of times a week rather than a specific day or time.  Also if dinner together doesn't work, what about breakfast? Can you make that your "together" meal at the start of the day instead of the end? My husband works a rotating schedule so we can't have a set "day" to do things, but we try to line up a day we are both off at least 1-2x a month to just chill. Sometimes we just take a 15-20 minute walk together in the morning before we both leave for work and chat.  I know at one point because my mom and dad were working different schedules and they couldn't eat dinner together they had dessert time, 2x a week they would have a small bowl of fruit or ice cream together later at night.  Try a few things and see what works for you both.
