I think for very small children while their throwing temper tantrums or something it works well and is fine but if we're talking older children then a parent should communicate that they need space or are upset but not just ignore them... That's immature and can cause more problems. Taking space to avoid making the situation worse is fine but that mean communicating that vs just the silent treatment.

Depends honestly. Growing up my mom would tell me she didnt want to see my face which was fine lol
