Sex help with labor?

Does sex actually help you go into labor if you're already dilated?

I was 40 w and 2d.   1 cm dilated for 2 weeks..  had sex that night.  lost my.mucus plug immediately.  went to sleep and woke up in labor !! worked for me

It never did with me. I was 1 cm dilated at 36 weeks and had sex almost everyday until I went into labor at 40 weeks & 2 days

I'm wondering the same thing because last Friday I was 4 cm and 100% effaced at 38 weeks this Friday they are sweeping the membrane and next Friday the 15th they will induce me if I'm still pregnant but I'm wanting her to come I'm so anxious and ready, and most of all just done with being pregnant I'm miserable.
