So I screwed up and forgot the golden rule about having sex while taking antibiotics. I've had the nexplanon since December and have been taking amoxicillin, prednisone, and benzonatate for a sinus infection. Took advantage of the toddler not being home the other day with DH.

I don't care if I'm pregnant, that's been talked about recently. My worry is what if I'm pregnant and still have this implant in? It's only been 4 days but should I schedule to have it removed? I googled and there was talk of ectopic pregnancy so I shut that down quickly. There were also articles that said because Nexplanon has no hormones (I think) that antibiotics don't mess with it.

Anyone with more knowledge on the subject that can ease my mind?

When I called the Nurse's line at my Dr. she said "Well, my daughter was a pill baby and she turned out fine."
