First IUI failed-unexplained infertility

I am not sure if it failed because the IUI was done after I ovulated or what. I'm going to ask to have a conversation with my nurse to see what we should do different the next cycle. I am very controlling and so focused on it which I don't think is good but I can't help it. Does anyone have advice for me? What I should ask or what I should do going into the second IUI? This cycle we did femera+trigger (I started surging on my own so surge and trigger were both 8pm)
