American Sign Language 1
Hi I was wondering if anyone has taken American Sign Language at their school? Was it hard? What were the expectations? I'm currently enrolled to take this course this semester, but ended up having my baby boy the day school started so I haven't attended yet. I've msg my professor several times trying to stay on task, but I can already tell she's one of those teachers that doesn't put pressure on her students and at the same time isn't as pressed about the class herself. I say this because I literally had to ask her to email me the syllabus because she didn't post it on blackboard actually she has nothing at all on blackboard. We have homework due on Monday and she sent everyone the vocabulary, but didn't include the video to go along even though she clearly states that there is a video we have to watch. The syllabus she sent after I asked several times have the dates from last semester so I don't even know when our first quiz is. All of my other professors have told me expectations and what not and I've even spoken to them over the phone several times, I just don't understand why she's acting like it's no big deal. All she says is keep in touch, which I've been doing long before school started. Today I just finally emailed her telling her I need the class to graduate and don't want to seem like a pest, but I need to know I can follow the curriculum from home with the book, homework, and videos. I asked her about any expectations as far as my reentry for class in the last email she didn't even respond to that part just told me here's the syllabus. I don't want to get discouraged, I have to take all three Sign Language courses back to back because I only have 3 semesters left 🤦🏾♀️. I'm trying to figure out what I should do....
