I was diagnosed with HSV-2 earlier this year. My partner and I broke off our relationship (not because of the HSV), and now I'm dating someone new. This is the first time I've dated someone while knowingly having an STI.

I am not going to sleep with him without telling him; I'm not that kind of woman. But I'm so scared of telling him that I'd almost rather push him away than tell him. But at the same time, I don't think I deserve to become an old maid just because this happened to me.

Can anyone in the same situation please give me some advise on how and when to tell him. Maybe share your experience to give me some insight (and hope).
