Do you think it's a life necessity to have a baby?

I'm on the fence about whether I even want kids. I hear good and bad stories from people with kids (well mainly bad e.g. you have no time for yourself or for your relationship). I can't help but think that society pressures us all to think having babies is a life necessity.

Not at all. But people often make it seem that way.

I've never heard of this. It's not necessary as everyone is doing it, you don't have to. It you could if you wanted to. Maybe in the future you'll get one of those "baby fevers" and want one, but if you don't then that's also highly accepted. 
You do you and don't let anyone bother/get to you.

Not everyone wants or should have kids. That's totally fine. I have always wanted kids and love being a parent. I personally find it to be incredibly fulfilling. But that doesn't mean everyone has to feel the same.

a lot of women act like it is but no it is not. life can have a purpose other than to procreate and it doesn't make you any less of a human or woman

If you want kids, go for it. If you don't? Keep living. It's not something all people will want, nor need to feel fulfilled in life. ^~^ no worries!!

Nope. To each their own. And this opinion is coming from someone who has always wanted kids. Even when I was a kid myself, I knew I wanted to be a mother someday. 
Having children is not a life requirement. You are not less of a person if you choose not to reproduce!

I feel like your life doesn't have to change drastically once you have a kid. If you both want a kid, what's going to change? You know what a kid requires and whatnot. And I don't think it'a a necessity. I feel like there are people out there who just HAVE to have a kid just to raise the human population.

I love having kids. I'm able to do more than I ever imagined having them. it made me a better person. no you can't go out every night and just party. yes you have to be responsible and take care of a little kids needs and not your own. yes sometimes they drive you insane not going to lie. but when you watch them grow up and how they turn into such bright people you are so proud. not every day is easy but it's not hard everyday either. you just have to make sure you have enough love for somebody else. it's not a life necessity but it is something now I could not ever live without.

No. Children aren't to do items on a check list, like buy a car, buy a house. They're not for everyone. That being said, they weren't in my original plan, and I'm very glad that I have mine. You shouldn't feel obligated to do something this life changing. It's amazing and exhausting being a mom, but it's also transformative in (for me) the best way. Unlike a possession, whether you like having kids or not, there's no going back, and life is never going to revolve around you alone again.  Either way, don't feel pressured into it. Best decision of my life, though.
