Ok so I live in Houston where we just got hit with a massive flood as I'm sure you heard.. well I was 37 weeks pregnant at the time and started feeling contractions.... like the Real Deal we were completely flooded in all around us no medical team could come to help us and we couldn't drive anywhere due to high waters... contractions were comming every 3 mins!! My neighbors went into action and put the word out that there was a woman in labor and send help! All these medical personnel came to my house and started assisting me with my labor pains mean while everyone is trying to find a way to get me to the hospital... I'm on the floor pushing with all my might they are telling me my baby's head is two knuckles away!! Suddenly the Coast Gaurs shows up at my door and loads me into the back of a truck and takes me to a helicopter where they flew me to the hospital! When I got checked in they told me I was only 3 cm dialated and that they were going to induce my labor since I had preeclampsia.. 33 hours later!!!! I had my son Wesley Archer 8 lbs 8 ounces! The medical team that was having me push at my home were not mid wife's or labor and delivery drs so when they told me the head was close it was my cervix they were feeling! My son had a rough start due to the extreme pushing and traumatic birth.. he spent a week in NICU but now is finally home safely... it was quite an adventure to get my precious one here and I couldn't feel more blessed..
