Can you call your boyfriend babe or baby??

My boyfriend of almost six months calls me babe, baby, a bunch of other cute pet names, etc. But for some reason, I can only call him by his name, and it makes me feel like such a piece of crap because all his exes called him babe and baby. And then I see all other couples doing it too. I don't know what to do 💔

it took me a long time before I used any pet name with my SO. He always called me babe and baby for the most part. I just started calling him babe randomly and it felt weird at first but the more I did it the more natural it felt and now thats all I ever call him it feels more normal to call him that than his name anymore.

um i've been with mine 3 years , almost 4 now and have not once called him babe or baby in person. over text yeah but i just feel SO weird saying it out loud, i have noooo idea why. no idea!

I think it'll come out naturally when you feel it's right.  I did that a lot with my now husband when we were dating. Don't force yourself if you feel weird about it. Calling him cute names I think just comes natural and you feel comfortable saying it too.

I only call my husband what feels natural for me. I've never liked babe or baby, at all, and I feel like it would be forced if I tried to use them haha. But there are other nicknames that feel more genuine to me (most of which are in Spanish because that's his native language and for some reason it feels less weird to me to be romantic and cheesy in Spanish). But never babe/baby. He doesn't call me by those names either (he prefers beautiful, gorgeous, cutie, etc). 
Maybe you could find other pet names that feel more natural for you to say?

i call my man booboo. i did it one day and it just kinda stuck lol. he gets babe/baby when i want something. but its more of a "baaaaaabe can you grab me a drink please?" or something like that aha. he gets his real name if im upset or being super serious.

I would just start...say it super casual in the middle of a rant or something someday or over a text start saying it he'll love it

Idk Babe/baby is weird. I call him by his name and he calls me "Miss M", just "M"or "Emelina"
