I'm getting the Mirena. I'm super nervous and kinda freaking out I have absolutely no idea what to expect. 
Also I have a question:  is there a BC option on eve?  Because I haven't seen it and I'd love if someone helped me out.  That way I can still keep track if I need to.

I had my mirena in for over 2 years with no problems. I never had a period while it was in either lol was great. Getting it inserted and removed hurt a bit but not as much as giving birth lol. And when I wanted another baby I got it removed and got pregnant in 2 months.

It isn't horrendously painful, it's a small sharp scratch feeling up there but it lasts a second. Slight cramping after but nothing major. You'll be fine.
My periods didn't stop with the mirena, they lasted longer actually, but they made my period lighter.
Also my sex drive was basically 0 whilst having the mirena in. 
Everyone is different though, I know some women who really love it
