Cerclage?

Anyone had a cerclage before? I'm due for one on the 26th and would like to know what to expect.

Answer

I had an emergency cerclage at 22wks with my 2nd baby. I had the spinal block for the procedure and felt no pain, just like pulling down there and almost "baby kicks" feeling. I was in hospital for 2 days after to monitor and check my cervix. It held until I had my scheduled csection at 39wks. If you are delivering natural they will remove it around 36wks.
I will have having a preventative cerclage sometime in October for this baby.
