I'm cureently pregnant but I've always babysat my nephew and since he started eating food, which was around 7 months. I would always let him hold a spoon just so he can get use to it even though he would use his hand, now he's 18 months but he got the hang of a spoon and for by the time he was 11/12 months.

Mine 11 months and we just started letting us help him feed himself... but he also hasn't shown interest in it till now...
