Doctor wants a repeat c section

Hi girls. I had a c section with my first child after pushing for 2 hours - he was just too big and wouldn't come out. He was 8 pounds 13 ounces. I really want to try natural for my second but my doctor says not to bc the chances of the same thing happening again are great and it's better to have a repeat c section than a failed v bac. He said if I had a c section for a different reason such as the baby being breach then I Could try vbac but bc the baby couldnt come out he wants a repeat c section. Im wondering if anyone has any insight or if anyone has been in my shoes and had a successful vbac. Should I change doctors? Thanks!
