Baby mama drama?

I recently started dating this guy, we get along great and I really like him, he has an almost 3 year old son. He is the cutest child ever, and he loves me just as much as I love him! My job has to do with kids, I go to school to learn about early childhood, I have lots of young family members so long story short, I'm great with kids. I was over at his house for three nights and we had his son for the whole time, it was so fun. My boyfriend works long shifts so I would take care of his child while he would catch up on sleep and all. 
My boyfriend and his baby mother talk everyday (🙃🙄😡🙂🤷🏽‍♀️) just to keep each other in the loop about what happens w their son. So yesterday my boyfriend told me that when his son went to his moms house he kept saying my name and he told him mum I "helped him put his big boy shorts on"
She was apparently mad? I'm guessing because she doesn't like the idea of another woman taking care of her son? I've never met her but from this I'm seeing that we will never get along ..I feel like this might cause problems in my relationship because why can't I care for his son too?

I wish there were more mother figures like you. I'm not saying if be thrilled if my husband and I seperated and knew another woman was taking care of my child (I would want to meet her before). It would be difficult for me BUT I would hope that he would find a woman who would be accepting and willing to be a second mother to our kids.

I have the same issue. My fiancé was married and got a divorce and has 3 kids. Because I helped bath the girls when we went on a camping trip the mother tried to say I touched the children inappropriately. It was such a huge problem. They are just mad about another women being there when it should be them. 💁 You got to over look it and keep going girl. There's nothing wrong with caring for a child who's life you're going to be in!!! I love my mans 3 just like my own and we have grew a huge bond that won't fade.

my SO's ex got mad that I was doing anything with his daughter. she got mad the first time i watched her alone saying he shouldn't have left her child alone with someone his daughter didn't know, mind you I had been with him for 3 years at this point helping him raise his daughter who was 3 years old at the time. It was only for about 2 hours while he went to his cousin's graduation that was right down the street from his house where I was watching his daughter. He told her what he does on his time is his business and he wouldn't be subjecting his child to someone he thought would do any harm to her and considering she had an ear infection, the graduation was outside and it was chilly out, he didn't want her to get worse so being with me was the better option. this whole thing about me helping him out with his child went on  for a good 2-3 years. now she doesn't care because she is more interested in finding guys to mess around with than being with her kids.

Honestly, I can see why the mom was upset. There are things that should be prepared and discussed beforehand. If I send my child to their father, I expect the father to take care of the child. I don't want to hear from my child that another woman was doing what their father should have been doing but he was sleep. There are certain boundaries that shouldn't be overstepped, especially if the mom hasn't met you. Idk the situation, but if she's mature on any level she's not upset with you but your bf. You dont know if they had an agreement about women/men entering their sons life & how that may look. On an entirely different note, I see your point too. You want to be apart of every aspect of your bf's life. I think it's mature & great of you to see him as a packaged deal.
