A few months ago I went to the dr for an unrelated matter, but I asked about getting pregnant while breastfeeding. He told me "if you want to get pregnant you'll have to stop breastfeeding. you won't get pregnant while breastfeeding."

needless to say, I was devastated. I really wanted my children close in age and I was also not at all ready to stop breastfeeding, neither is my 1 year old (then 10 month old).

I am now 5 weeks 5 days pregnant and still breastfeeding 4+ times a day.

I want to post this for all the breastfeeding mommies that are ttc. it is possible. don't give up. and if you're not ready to stop breastfeeding, trust your instincts.
