Has anyone had twins and it didn't run in the family on either side?

I did too.  If your twins were identical it has nothing to do with genetic history. Mine however are fraternal, which yes means two eggs, but from my research it is pretty amazing how that can come about,

I am pregnant with mo-di twins. It's no were two eggs split. Twins don't run in my family. The doctor said it's not genetic. It's something that happens sometimes.

🙋 they said I released an egg from each side and technically they are a day apart. The only twins we know of are on my dads side - his aunt had 3 (!) sets of twins but from what my dr said that *typically* the fraternal twin gene (the only gene that can be passed down) is only 90% passed down from female to female so it doesn't matter it was on my dads side... super crazy.
