Baby doesn't like car seat

My one month old doesn't like being in the car seat, he will cry so hard when he's in it. It's very difficult to go to places with just him & I because I have to wait til he is asleep to put him in his car seat. I have a doc appt around 3 tomorrow and that's not his nap time and I'm nervous as hell.

Any tips for him to be comfortable in his car seat?? I'm desperate!!
