UTI after sex

has anyone else gotten a UTI after sex? i had sex yesterday & im pretty sure i have one. i called my dr but since it's late, they haven't gotten back to me. nothing feels worse than thinking you have to pee but you can't. luckily i bought some medicine from walgreens to help with the pain, but does anyone else recommend anything i should do to help it?
