Is this a Lip tie?? FTM breastfeeding has been a challenge due to latching issues both nipples are currently cracked and scabbing. Doc apt is until the end of the week so any advice is appreciated! TIA

Looks that way. And they always say that lip ties go in sync with tongue ties as well.

That does appear to be a lip tie. Have you checked under your little one's tongue too? They seem to go hand in hand. My son had both ties and ended up having to get them released. Feeding was much better afterwards. But his were severe. I agree with another comment, talk to a lactation consultant as well

Get some prescription nipple cream too. It gets better ❤️

My husband is a Dentist and my son looked like he had one as a baby but as he got older it just got higher. Everyone has one... sometimes they need snipped, other times they are harmless. I’d see a pediatric dentist to be sure.

We all have that. If Baby has that under tongue that goes all the way to the tip of his/her tongue then they most definitely have tongue tie

We have issues latching majority of the time but other times the latch is perfect on the first try... I feel so guilty thinking she might be in pain if it gets cut 😭

yes that's a lip tie. my daughter had it and couldn't breastfeed, she just got it snipped in Feb at 11 years old lol.
