With the use of computers for class assignments and how much computers are used in and out of school, should the importance of cyber safety, cyber ethics, and cyber security be taught more in schools?

Answer

Yes and no. I think we thrust a lot on schools to teach our children the ins and outs of the world. If the schools want to teach it then fine but I will be teaching it myself. 
Interestingly Barclays Bank (U.K.) do a lot of schooling for kids including coding and safety.

Says the mom with a mini van with bumper stickers proudly boasting 2 honor roll kids that go to Happyville Elementary School. A boy named David in soccer for the Bucs, a girl named Grace in gymnastics at Little Gymnists. They have 2 dogs, a pug and a lab. Mom's name is Nancy, dad's name is Tom, and their last name is Smith. Voila, you know everything you need to about this family simply by pulling behind them in the parking lot of Publix.
BONUS:
Her Facebook is wide open and she posts their church, school activities schedule, and their every move daily.  
I think adults and kids both need to learn proper stranger danger.

I think it would be a great idea. Of course parents should be diligent about the online activities of their children and teach them about ethics, security, and safety...but lets face it--a lot of adults aren't that knowledgeable about these topics either. Kids and teens far too often don't realize the risks and impact of the decisions they make online

I didn't read the pictures attached,  but yes it should be.  My son is 8 and gets sent homework that involves playing (educational) games on the computer.  I think if they're encouraging children to be online they need to be teaching them about safety too.  We've sat him down and explained it but I'm sure there's kids in his class who don't get that at home and it scares me.

In this day in age most definitely! I teach my kids about the dangers, because with games like Roblox have online chat. As a parent thats highly worrying. Sucks having to explain to your innocent kids we share with world with monsters. Chat is banned, they can play the game without it. I've read too many horror stories.

I think this is another thing parents need to teach their kids. Because you never have those conversations with "safewords" in case something happens and you can't pick up your kids. 
These are things you and your so give to someone at the time of said incident and not before. 
All of safety and such is your concern, education is your teachers. But even if the teachers teach the kids safety I see to many people with location linked pictures on Facebook with a picture of their kid smiling as they get out of a car for school. 
They don't even realize 80% of the time those pictures have the location embedded into them.  So no this is a parents job. 
Be informed and educate your own kid, cause you can open your car and have them climb in to show them where the latch is to open the trunk, because it glows in the dark so they shouldn't be scared in the most critical times. 
Or where to kick, to make a hole to wave their arms out of.  Teachers can never do this.

Yes schools definitely should. As a teacher, I always always try to remind my students about digital citizenship and being a kind person. As well as the effects words can have. So important. But OF COURSE parents need to do it too.

I teach my 3rd graders some basics about good security habits (mostly just picking a smart password and not telling anyone).  I also teach about personal safety online and cyber bullying. I don't cover this stuff in great detail, but I teach it in September and remind them once in awhile. My students have access to computers and iPads so I expect them to be responsible.  I really think our computer teacher should be teaching them this stuff, but I know he isn't doing it.

Normally I'd say yes, no question, but I really think that first cyber security and cyber ethics should be further studied and then legislated. Part of the reason the internet is so dangerous is because there's not much being done to study/analyze it, and therefor nothing being done to legislate things like revenge porn or the anonymous selling of guns. 
After it's studied further and legislated we can teach it to kids, better than just "don't post sensitive content online."
